Come and learn studio lighting in the heart of Harrogate in the studio. I will show you how to illuminate your subject with contrast vs shadows.
You will be there with me and one other person who will be the model for us during some of your time at the studio.
This is a hands-on Masterclass with setups, changing and moving lights, backdrops changing
Your duration time at the studio is 5 hours
Model duration is 3 hours and how to pose them
Lighting sequences can take up to 20 minutes for each set.
Choice of canvas backdrops in the studio and setup.
10 Images + 3 wardrobe changes for your portfolio
1 hr of editing + how to retouch your strongest image from the day

This 5-hour masterclass will cover the theory with a slideshow of images to look at what lights the subject and contrast vs shadows.
Preparation for the photo shoot, what inspires me, and how to look for ideas, how I choose, best lighting and using props in your portraits, will cover many styling and posing to create any style of portraits/portraiture.
In the second part, we will be shooting in the studio together with 1 person who will be modelling for us. I will show my camera settings, framing, and how I pose the model. How I choose the best lighting for my portraits. I will explain how I choose backgrounds and how to add digital texture to grey paper backdrops for best results.
After the photo session, we will work on editing. I will share my workflow on 1 image taken at the studio.
I will work with Adobe CC Photoshop and Camera Raw. I will show you how to remove distracting items/tidy up the background, colour grading, contrast and enhancement, cropping, and framing. Subject enhancement, making colour pop.
Skin, and face editing technique workflow.
You will need to bring your camera, any lens you like from 50mm, 85mm up to 200mm but don’t worry if you don’t have 200mm, a pen and paper for notes.
This package is only available at the weekend due to giving you all my attention for fine detail.
